Beckey Jensen has been on the Spooner Golf Club board since 2021 and has been President since 2024. 

Spooner Golf Club has been an amazing place for her to meet new friends, and she loves watching it grow under the new management. Although not the best golfer, she loves the sport and of course, her hubby, Bob! 

Kathe Nickleby has been on the Spooner Golf Club Board of Directors since 2021 and is currently serving as Vice President.  She is also a member of the Clubhouse Committee.

Kathe enjoys the friendships at Spooner Golf Club and is happy to be a member of the ladies’ league. 

John Nickleby has been on the Spooner Golf Club Board of Directors since 2022 and currently serves as the Board’s Secretary.  He is the chair of the Greenhouse Committee and a member of the Membership/Golfplay Committee.

John’s favorite thing about Spooner Golf Club is hole #10.  

Mike and his wife, Candy, live on Big McKenzie Lake. He is a retired actuary and has been a member of Spooner Golf Club since 2008. 

Mike is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors. He serves as the chair of the Five-Year Plan Committee, a member of the Finance Committee, and is serving his 5th year as a board member.

Mike and Candy have two children and four grandchildren.

Mark Bintzler is a new member of the Spooner Golf Club Board of Directors.  He will be the Chair of the Clubhouse Committee.  Mark and his wife Pam have been members of the club since 2022.

Jim Conradson likes hunting, bowling, cruising, hanging out with my friends, and of course, golfing.  Jim has been a member of the Spooner Golf Club for six years and has been on the Board of Directors since 2024.  He serves on the Greens Committee.

Mike Douglas has been on the Spooner Golf Board for the last three years and is currently Chair of the Membership and Golf Play Committee.  He lives in Hudson, WI, and has a lake home on Gull Lake.  

Mike’s favorite thing about Spooner Golf Club is the beauty of the course and the people.  Mike has a serious love/hate relationship with hole #18.

Mark Brost has been a member of Spooner Golf Club for 25 years and joined the Board of Directors in 2024.  He is currently serving as the Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. 

Mark enjoys playing in the Men’s League and spending time with friends at SGC.

Bob Buckley and his wife, Jackie, spend summers on Long Lake and the winters in Tubac, Arizona, and Waterloo, Iowa.  Bob has been on the Spooner Golf Club Board of Directors since 2025 and serves on the Clubhouse Committee. 

Bob has been a member of the Spooner Golf Club for thirty-plus years.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, and of course, his Iowa Hawkeyes.
